Hot Music Video – How About Dat – B.o.B ft. Future & Trae Tha Truth (E.P.I.C. Mixtape)

B.o.B. is currently signed under the labels of Grand Hustle Records, Rebel Rock Entertainment and Atlantic Records. In anticipation of his sophomore album, “Strange Clouds,” B.o.B has released a new 15 track mixtape named “E.P.I.C.: Every Play Is Crucial,” which had landed in cyberspace hit the web on November 28, 2011. The tape features guest appearances by T.I. and Mos Def on “Boom Bap,” Eminem on “Things Get Worse,” and Playboy Tre and Meek Mill on “Epic”, not to mention the awesome production by Ryan Tedder, Jim Jonsin and Dr. Luke. In August 2011 a video appeared on YouTube of B.o.B performing at Colorado State University, where he previewed a song titled Strange Clouds and announced it features Lil Wayne. B.o.B spoke with The Daily Orange about his second studio album for the first time. He went on to say “It’s a more mature sound but nothing too experimental. It’s a happy medium between the sound of B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray and the mixtapes, so everyone should be able to enjoy it. I’d say I’m 90 percent done with it right now, but the album title is still TBA.” Check out the official music video below after the jump…

B.o.B appeared on an online video stream on radio station V103 and announced the title of the album to also be Strange Clouds and is to be released in early Spring of 2012. Bobby Ray held the first listening session for his upcoming album Strange Clouds at Tree Sound Studios in October 2011. Seven new songs were previewed during the listening session, including the second single Play the Guitar which features André 3000. Other big guest appearances confirmed, as the album is not fully complete, include Lil Wayne, Big K.R.I.T., Nelly and a song with T.I. titled “Arena”. In addition he has worked with One Republic on a song and has been quoted as having: “the song of 2012 with a mega feature from somebody who never does features with anyone!”. Looks like he got pretty lucky then…

B.o.B told Billboard, “It’s reflective of the growth, and how my perspective has changed. As the hip-hop community is becoming more influential to the world, I feel like we shed light on topics that are necessary to be addressed in order to progress socially. And ‘Strange Clouds’ is like a hybrid… the sci-fi with the organic… It’s all about art, it’s all about music, and I feel like this album is going to be a classic.” In a interview with Rap-Up, Jim Jonsin spoke of his Rebel Rock artist’s upcoming album: “We cut four songs and there’s two that I really like. One record has like a reggae vibe to it, hip-hop with some reggae. It’s pretty big. I think that’s a possible single. He’s kinda figuring out the direction and I’m hoping to close out with him to do another three or four songs before the album’s done”, Jonsin told Rap-Up. While his debut may have been jam-packed with features, Jonsin doesn’t expect too many guests this time around: “I don’t think he’s doing as many features. I think most of his singles will be him and he just wants the fans to hear a lot more of him on this album. It’s gonna be incredible.” At the rate Bobby Ray is collaborating with other artists. I say he is well on his way to a strong and long career in the industry as long as he keeps himself on track…
