Hot Music Video – Kiss The Ring – Riz (Wiz Khalifa, Rick Ross & Amber Rose Diss)

New York hip-hop isn’t what it once was. Actually, New York isn’t what it once was. If one rapper could truly embody that statement, it would be Sha Money XL’s latest find, Harlem native, RIZ. While he is from uptown, he gives no telltale signs that he is from the Hip Hop haven that Puffy made famous with his shiny suits and later on Cam’Ron  blew crowds away with his pink attire. Riz has a more subdued style and has the ability to craft tracks that appeal to audiences, whether from the smallest town in Mississippi or the streets of NYC. Riz is also living proof that it takes more than talent and a big name behind you to make a name for yourself in this business as he still sees the struggle on a daily basis. Despite the multitude of obstacles a new artist is bound to face in today’s rap scene. It was only a matter of time for RIZ, as his grind has brought him this far. Six Shot caught up with Riz to discuss working with Sha Money XL, his mixtape and why the rap game is changing. Let me say its not for the better. Riz released Kiss The Ring mixtape in December 2011, hosted by DJ Envy and features some of Hip Hop’s elite artist such as Fabolous, Prodigy and French Montana to name a few. The title track Kiss The Ring will definitely shake up the Industry! Check out his new music video below after the jump…

RIZ visually displays the dirty truth about the rap game industry. Some of Hip-Hops elite lack ideas and they resort to stealing, but RIZ is here to help you understand where the original thoughts have originated from. Definitely an EPIC and ground breaking video directed by Mills Miller Media the world must see. In the video you can see RIZ sitting on a luxurious throne, sporting all his jewels, as he raps about the fakeness of rappers and others within the industry. At the end of the day, he makes sure to let them all know that they can all kiss his pinky ring. In the song, the rapper throws some shots at Wiz Khalifa for turning Hollywood via his trademark blonde highlight in his hair after hooking up with Amber Rose. He also disses Lil Wayne for his odd fashion sense and finally to put icing on the cake he accuses Rick Ross of portraying the false image of being a gangster and moving weight on the street, when his background as being a corrections officer has already been revealed to the masses. In an interview with Six Shot he talked being approached by several record labels “We met with Jay-Z two weeks before he left Def Jam, we met with Atlantic. We met with some powerhouses as far as the record labels and this business is different than I expected and different than Sha expected, especially with the things that I’ve done and getting the response that I’ve been getting from all around. They like my music, my image, but I don’t have that record that been getting 500 or 600 spins a week. That’s what you need to get signed these days so it’s been rough.” He then talked about how the rap game has changed and what he thinks about the artists in it today, “I can’t say that because I don’t feel I would have been as prepared musically as I am today. In 2005, I really got into hip-hop because I had some problems with the law and I really wanted to change my speed and turn my life around. I put out an indie album in my neighborhood called Young King of New York and that basically launched my rap career. The people in my neighborhood thought I should run with it so I been going hard ever since. I think New York is a selfish city. Everybody wants to be on top and be number one. You rarely see guys pulling people up and helping them blow. You might see a guy put somebody on but they keep them at bay so you can only associate them with that person and that’s what New York has become.” Let me know what you think about the music video below…
