So the three part reality series is finally here and the wrath of Nicki’s crazy alter-ego Roman Zolanski, has been unleashed upon the world. No joke. The platinum selling female rapper, who also signed on as an American Idol judge (which she wasn’t to sure of in the first place). Also just launched her own perfume called “Pink Friday” and offered viewers exclusive intimate access to her personal and professional life. Including some never before seen footage. Before the “My Truth” series premiered on E! network yesterday, it had been announced back in September 2012. I was curious to see how Onika Tanya Maraj, better known by her stage name Nicki Minaj, treats her camp and crew on a daily basis. I don’t know if its just me, but I can see that Nicki’s only about business minus the pleasure of life itself. To be honest with you readers, it looks like she really HATES and dreads doing what she does. She sends out lots of NEGATIVE vibes when communicating with people she works with. It feels like everyone is way to stupid to be in her presence. I don’t mind that Nicki tells it like it is and doesn’t hold back. However when people mess up she makes them feel like they’re fucking idiots and aren’t good enough to be in her presence. Maybe the way she acts is a really sad reflection of her disassociation with reality…
Nicki talked about her own reality television series, My Truth, showing no signs of backing down or trying to play nice with anyone that she came into contact with. She brought up being chosen as a judge for American Idol. She casually revealed to the camera, “I’m super nervous and anxious for the first day on American Idol. I’m still second guessing my decision. I’m probably going to be a hundred times guessing this decision because I’m human. It’s a big job.” During the video you can see that she is really not liking anything that her stylist has offered her. “Picking out the outfit, this is one thing that adds to the anxiety of the first day. To come out and have these people seeing me and not knowing what they’re going to think and knowing you’re going to be judged…” Nicki looking really displeased, confessed to the camera crew, as she looked at all the clothes offered on the rack.
A preview for Nicki’s reality series also sees her tearing gossip blogger Perez Hilton a new asshole after he asks her if she wants to set the record straight about anything. Referring to a claim that she had a fued with Rihanna, she said: “Can I just say this? I’m sick of you printing lies. I want to know if you guys believe what you put on there? You believe that I would tell Rihanna ‘You sit your ass down’?”
Back during late September 2012, Perez sat down with Nicki for a crazy one on one interview in New York City. According to Perez, that “might make you feel brand new and quite possibly inspire you!” Yeah whatever, he added, “our rap session with this wonderful and talented musical artist encompassed a wide range of topics regarding just WHAT is happening in Minaj’s life. Everything from what her next business move will be to what it is like working on American Idol is meticulously covered!!!” Nicki talked about her enemy Mariah Carey, saying that, “I think Mariah met her match this time and I don’t think she was expecting to meet her match.” Its kind of crazy the beef between Mariah and Nicki that is going on. Remember when they did that video “Up Out My Face“ in January 2010.
On November 3, she also did a more recent interview with Tim Westwood, while on tour in London. The UK Barbz were in the building firing all kinds of questions at her.
Nicki first alluded to “Pink Friday“ perfume in her verse on Drake‘s single “Make Me Proud“, rapping smugly saying, “It’s MAC, OPI and a fragrance too / apparel I’m dominating in every avenue.” While sometimes horrible gossip and controversy often follows Nicki around. She said that she chooses to focus on her fans when things get tough. She admitted, “That relationship that I have with my fans is sometimes the only thing that gets me out of bed. I can be having a horrible day and if I see my fans they make me laugh.” Nicki explained, “I’m definitely my own worst critic,” says Nicki, “I don’t get the chance to set the record straight about a lot of things.” She was running late to her first day at “American Idol.”
She added, “Ain’t nobody gonna run me off that motherfuckin’ show, playboy.” What do you think about her first episode? Are you feeling her vibe as good or bad?
