Bryan “Birdman” Williams Signs “Talented” Singer Paris Hilton To Cash Money Records

Paris Hilton at Cash Money Records Party - Beverly Hills

During June 2012, Paris Hilton was working hard on her official DJ debut at the Pop Music Festival in Brazil, where she premiered her single “Last Night”. Paris having attracted extremely negative reviews after several videos were posted on Youtube and being dissed by the DJs from Deadmau5, Samantha Ronson and even Afrojack. Paris had managed to gain some positive reviews from DJ Poet, fans and the crowd at the music festival. Paris’ DJ set as a whole received lots of mixed reviews from critics.

In January 2013, Paris started to appear in various episodes of the Danish version of the reality show called Paradise Hotel, for which she was allegedly paid $300,000. Paris had guest appearances in two episodes of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, where her aunts Kyle and Kim have the lead roles. In early May 2013, Paris had premiered in Birdman‘s new music video for his song called “Tap Out”, alongside Lil Wayne, Christina Milian and Nicki Minaj. The news keeps getting weirder as it was reported that Paris had signed with Cash Money Records with plans to release her sophomore album in Summer 2013. The album is said to be produced by Afrojack and will feature a track with Lil Wayne. Who would have ever thought that this would happen? In a recent interview with Pop & Hiss, rapper and Cash Money Records co-founder Bryan “Birdman” Williams said the deal was a no-brainer. He told them “She’s always supported us and we’ve supported her. It was a friendship first. She played us music, and I was taken aback. I was impressed by her music, and I didn’t know she could sing so well.” Paris orginally broke the news to Showbiz 411 while in Cannes, France, that she had signed with the label to issue her sophomore record. Birdman took to Twitter to confirm the news, “Welcome @ParisHilton to tha Family. Richgang Richgirl. YMCMB.” He had also retweeted several others.

Birdman also said of the new project with Paris, “Its on the EDM side. I want to let her do what she wants as an artist. We’re going to support it.” And as for all the negative criticism about his choice to sign Paris? We know he’s not concerned a bit, “Controversy and all of that, it works for your benefit. [Her Cash Money deal] being so talked about shows the strength of her popularity. I’m very excited. I’m very appreciative that she’s part of the team. She’s very talented, and a beautiful young woman.” In essence he pulled a hustler money making move.

“Hustler” extraordinaire Paris did an interview back in August 2006, talking about how hard she works. She had revealed, “People are going to judge me: ‘Paris Hilton, she uses money to get what she wants.’ Whatever. I haven’t accepted money from my parents since I was 18. I’ve worked my ass off. I have things no heiress has. I’ve done it all on my own, like a hustler.” During that particular interview she wanted to straighten out a few misconceptions out there about herself. She claims that she done partying like a rock star, “The whole ‘party girl heiress’ thing, I’m over it. I’m really serious as an artist. I’m a businesswoman.”

Paris said hip-hop in particular, gangsta rap shaped her worldview and had partially inspired her ambition to become “an icon like Madonna or Marilyn Monroe.” She also said, “I love hip-hop. I grew up listening to Dr. Dre. With the hip-hop world, they came from nothing, from the streets. I respect their turning into these huge stars with huge mansions, all on their own.” Paris also says, “I’ve always been a humble person. The stupid blond stereotype — it was cute for a while. But I’m over that now.” We see “humble” with every Instagram picture she posts.

In addition, Paris has a cameo part as herself in Sofia Coppola‘s movie called The Bling Ring. Which is described as a film about a group of teenagers who robbed the houses of celebrities such as Paris, Lindsay Lohan and Orlando Bloom between 2008 and 2009. The movie premiered at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival and will open in theaters on June 14, 2013. Paris also said about the $2 Million in jewelry, “It’s never been returned.” Paris’ anticipated album release will be promoted by Paris doing a DJ stint playing records (digital tracks) this summer while in Ibiza, Spain.

Paris talked about the albums music style, she says “This is a lot different than my first album. It’s really going to be house music.” Don’t worry guys Paris is now going to help children with her heiress money, she says “I’m also starting the Paris Hilton Foundation for children’s causes.” I think that is really admirable of her.
