Ice Cube’s Sticking To The Formula, Reveals New Album Title: “Everything’s Corrupt”

The West Coast hip hop living legend is definitely hard at work on his next upcoming album, which will be titled Everything’s Corrupt.” For which he says won’t stray away from what he’s known for. Serving as the follow up to his 9th studio album “I Am The West,” Ice Cube has said this album will be different than any one of his other albums, having a different direction for the album. The album was released independently under his label Lench Mob Records. Ice Cube stated that “being independent is beautiful because we can do things ‘out the box’ that record companies would usually frown at. Instead of working from a ready-made cookie-cutter marketing plan, we can tailor make a marketing plan specifically for me”. A specific date for the upcoming “Everything’s Corrupt” LP’s release was unknown. In November 2011, Ice Cube said via Twitter that he was 7 songs into the current album he’s recording. He also stated he “always got an album coming out” which suggests that he isn’t thinking of rap retirement to focus on acting in the near future. VH1′s Behind The Music: The Biography and Life Of Notorious B.I.G. (Sneak Peek)

Christopher George Latore Wallace (May 21, 1972 – March 9, 1997), best known as The Notorious B.I.G., was a rapper. He was also known as Biggie Smalls (after a character in the 1975 film Let’s Do It Again), Big Poppa, and The Black Frank White (after the main character of the 1990 film King of New York). Wallace was raised in the Brooklyn borough of New York City. When Wallace released his debut album Ready to Die in 1994, he became a central figure in the East Coast hip-hop scene and increased New York’s visibility at a time when West Coast artists were more common in the mainstream. The following year, Wallace led his childhood friends to chart success through his protégé group, Junior M.A.F.I.A. While recording his second album, Wallace was heavily involved in the East Coast/West Coast hip-hop feud, dominating the scene at the time. On March 9, 1997, Wallace was killed by an unknown assailant in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles. His double-disc set Life After Death, released 15 days later, hit #1 on the U.S. album charts and was certified Diamond in 2000 (one of the few hip hop albums to receive this certification). Hot Music Video – Where Have You Been – Rihanna + Behind The Scenes

Where Have You Been” is a song by Rihanna, from her sixth studio album Talk That Talk (2011). It was written by Ester Dean, Henry Walter, Geoff Mack, Lukasz Gottwald and Calvin Harris. The production of the song was helmed by Gottwald under his stage name Dr. Luke together with Harris and Cirkut. It will be released as the fifth US single and the third international single of the album on May 8, 2012. Where Have You Been received positive reviews from music critics, who complimented its up tempo dance beat and likened it to the lead single of the album, We Found Love. contains compositional elements of Mack’s I’ve Been Everywhere (1959). The song was recorded at Grand Hotel, Room 654 in Oslo, Norway. “Where Have You Been” is one of two songs to be co-written and co-produced by Harris to be included on Talk That Talk, the other being We Found Love, on which Harris appears as a featured artist. “Where Have You Been” features “hard, chilly synths” and a punk inspired breakdown sequence. “Where Have You Been” is a house song which is draws upon pop more so than the other Harris produced song he did for Rihanna, “We Found Love”. Kelly, Diddy, Lil Wayne, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Whitney Houston, Gwen Stefani, Lady Gaga and many more artists. Lady Gaga and T-Pain are two artists who were given their chance at fame by Akon. French Montana born Karim Kharbouch, is a rapper and singer of Moroccan and Somali descent. He is the founder and CEO of Cocaine City Records. He is known for his frequent collaborations with Max B, and more recently with Chinx Drugz and the rest of his group, the Coke Boys. His stage name is a conflation of French (from the French protectorate of Morocco) and Montana (from the fictitious Tony Montana in the 1983 movie Scarface). In December 2011, Montana signed a record deal with P. Diddy‘s Bad Boy Records and Interscope Records. Starships” is a song by hip-hop recording artist, Nicki Minaj, and appears her second studio album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. It premiered during On Air with Ryan Seacrest and was released as the lead single from the album on the same day. It was produced by RedOne, Carl Falk and Rami Yacoub. The song was released for digital download in February 2012. An accompanying music video for the single was shot in Hawaii on March 13–15, 2012.  “Starships” debuted at number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking her second solo arrival in the Top 10 of the chart, after Super Bass, which reached number 3 in 2011. The song peaked at number 5 in the US and was certified platinum. In the spring of 2012, Starships was the 3rd most-played song on Myspace, the 12th most-played song on Yahoo! Lavell Crump, better known by his stage name David Banner, is a rapper, record producer, and occasional actor. Banner was born in Jackson, Mississippi, and graduated from Southern University as well as pursued masters of education at the University of Maryland. He started his music career as a member of the rap duo, Crooked Lettaz, before going solo in 2000 with the release entitled Them Firewater Boyz, Vol. 1. Crump’s stage name “David Banner” is taken from the lead character of the television series, The Incredible Hulk. With several of his friends, Banner sent some demo tapes to Jackson, Mississippi radio station, WJMI, whose operations manager praised them. In 1999, Banner and rapper Kamikaze as the duo, Crooked Lettaz, released Grey Skies (Penalty Recordings).
