“Beez in the Trap” is a song by hip hop artist Nicki Minaj from her second studio album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. It features American rapper 2 Chainz. The song got its premiere at DJ Flex’s radio show at Hot 97 in March 2012. Background of the song: “Beez in the Trap” is an electro hop song. Before this song was released, 2 Chainz confirmed his appearance on Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. On March 20, 2012; Minaj posted on Twitter that “Beez in the Trap” is set to premiere on Power 105.1′s DJ Clue’s radio show at 7:00 pm, however, it ended up being premiered by Hot 97‘s DJ Flex instead. It later made its way online shortly thereafter. “Beez in the Trap” received generally positive reviews from music critics, with several commenting positively on Minaj’s performance. Although he felt that the song “lack[ed] real substance,” XXL magazine praised “Beez in the Trap,” calling it a “memorable moment” of Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, and also complimented Minaj’s “unique energy and distinct personality” displayed in the song.
